Dr. Bayne has been Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego Medical School, and Associate Director of Life Flight at UCSD Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Physicians and is a Director and Treasurer for the American Academy of Home Care Physicians.
Although Dr. Bayne was honored as “Housecall Dr. of the Year” by the American Academy of Home Care Physicians (AAHCP), he considers his highest honor as being voted “The doctor who cares the most about his patients” during his internship in 1973. Most recently he was pleased to find out that Dr. Tom Cornwell, one of the first housecall physicians he trained, had been selected in 2002 for the Pride in the Profession national honors granted by the American Medical Association to the physician most exemplifying the ideals of medicine.
James Packer, MD

James Packer MD has joined Call Doctor Medical Group as a housecall Physician. Dr. Packer is a board certified Emergency Physician from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Packer received his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine at the University of Iowa. Dr. Packer was the Medical Director of Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Emergency Department for over 30 years, including becoming Physician of the Year at SCVMD in 1998.
Sheryl Cramer MD, MPH, FACS
Dr. Cramer joined Call Doctor Medical Group in 2010. Dr. Cramer is a fourth-generation San Diego who attended Stanford University and was the first board-certified female general surgeon in private practice in San Diego. She specialized in trauma and critical care, serving 15 years as a trauma surgeon at Scripps Mercy and Children’s Hospitals before enrolling in San Diego State University’s Graduate School of Public Health. She received her Master’s degree in Health Promotion in 2005 and is dedicated to providing preventative as as curative care.
Rachel Kurniadi MD
Rachel Kurniadi MD has been a physician with Call Doctor Medical Group as a housecall physician, since November 2008. Dr. Kurniadi is a board certified Physiatrist from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kurniadi received her undergraduate education at Westfaelische Wilhem University and received her Doctor of Medicine at University of Essen Medical School. Dr. Kurniadi completed her residency training from UCLA/VA Wadsworth program in 1988.
Patricia Lundeberg MD
Patricia Lundeberg, M.D., whose patients call her “Dr Patricia,” has been with Call Doctor Medical Group as a housecall physician for 2 years. Dr Patricia attended University of California San Francisco medical school, and then did post-graduate training at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, CA. With 24 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, and Primary Care medicine, she brings her office—contained in one large black bag—directly to the patient. Besides vital signs and physical exam, Dr Patricia can perform bedside blood tests, urine analysis, stool analysis, earwax removal, wound care, and removal of moles or skin tags. Complex labs are drawn at the home and brought to the laboratory with results in 48 hours. Immunizations such as influenza or pneumovax shots, and injections of antibiotics, Vitamin B-12, anti-inflammatory medication, and other injectables are done if needed. Xrays, EKGs and heart function tests are done by our mobile technician within 24 hours of request. In-home ultrasound tests can be arranged as well. Our company works closely with several local home health agencies as well as hospice support.
