CALL DOCTOR MEDICAL GROUP HAS BEEN SELECTED BY MEDICARE FOR DEMO!

Call Doctor physicians were among the 2400 selected nationwide to participate in the three year Medicare Care Management Program. Under this program physicians will be paid a bonus for the electronic reporting of quality standards we have already developed under the new Janus Operating System. Up to $200,000 of new income for physicians is projected over a three year period beginning July 1, 2007.

Call Doctor begins trial of electronic referrals for new patients to Home Health

In coordination with two San Diego home agencies, Call Doctor has begun testing the feasibility of electronic reporting for referrals and chart updates. Simply by clicking on a home health agency-specific new patient intake form, physicians can expedite the referral and provide agencies with an attached copy of the patient's medical chart in a timely way.

This type of HIPAA-compliant, wireless VPN reporting is mandatory for the implementation of P4P programs as well as the efficient management of the Medical Home.

AAHCP Update

AAAHCP has succeeded in having the Florida Local Carrier Directive pulled for revision before the start date of April 30, 2007. This LCD would have essentially prevented payment by Medicare for housecalls in the State of Florida and Connecticut. The Chairman of Call Doctor Medical Group led the efforts for the Academy to prevent this disaster for elderly, homebound patients in the East. Meetings began in April with Congressional representatives in Washington with Dr. Bayne and others from the Academy leadership
